| Tue 1st Dec-09 New referees for GHFRA in 2010 |
1. If you are a referee from another football referee association and you would like to referee for GHFRA in 2010, contact the technical committee first – technical@ghfra.com.au – with details of where you have refereed (we will require a clearance letter from your previous association), qualifications, and experience, so we can determine the best course of action for you to enter GHFRA in 2010.
2. If you are 13 years old or more and would like to become a football referee for the first time in 2010, you will need to attend ONE of the following courses. Each course covers the material for FFA Level 5 and Level 4 qualifications.
NB1. Attendance at all parts of each course is required, including the full days on separate weekends; 2. At registration you will need to bring $50, a pen to complete paperwork, a parent to sign (if under 18), your FFA number if you know it (otherwise an indication of a GHFA team you have played for in the last 2-3 years). 3. Registration should take around 15 - 20 minutes. 4. At registration you will be given important material to help you prepare for the theory course. 5. Part 4 of each course is at Christie Park – near Macquarie University
Course 1@ Miguel Theatre, Oakhill College, Old Northern Rd, Castle Hill * Part 1: Registration Night - Tuesday 9th Feb, 6 – 8 pm * Part 2: Theory course – Sunday 14th Feb, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm * Part 3: Level 5 exam & start of Level 4 course – Wednesday 17th Feb, 6:30 – 9:30 pm * Part 4: Orientation and rest of Level 4 course – Saturday 6th March @ Christie Park, 10 am – 4 pm.
Course 2@ Energy Australia training rooms, Bank St, Meadowbank Due to space restrictions, entry to this course is limited to 60 new referees. Please contact – technical@ghfra.com.au – by 19th Feb to lodge an expression of interest in attending. * Part 1: Registration Night – Monday 22nd Feb, 6 – 8 pm * Part 2: Theory course – Saturday 27th Feb, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm * Part 3: Level 5 exam & start of Level 4 course – Tuesday 2nd March, 6:30 – 9:30 pm * Part 4: Orientation and rest of Level 4 course – Sunday 14th March @ Christie Park, 10 am – 4 pm.
If demand is such, we may run a 3rd course in late April / early May.
